A quality French pair of gilded bronze twin arm antique wall sconces, the barely twisted leaf clad scrolling arms with trumpet bobeche drip pans and scalloped candle sconces, issuing from an elongated leaf stem tapering backplate with centre female head and swaged laurel leaves and acorn finial, Jean-Louis Prieur (1732-1795), made the drawing of this model around 1780 (kept in the library of the Museum of Decorative Arts, Paris). Excellent original gilded patination and super quality. Fully rewired and PAT tested. All our wall lights come with aged brass screws for fixing and spare bulbs.
