Antique 17th Century James 11 Oak Coffer Box C1700 W6386/26.4

Description

Antique late 17th century oak coffer and dating from around the time of james 11 the restoration period. It has a plank top with moulded edge above an original carved frieze and three fielded panels standing on stile feet. It is panelled to the sides and has its original rough hewn panelled back with original iron strap to the inside of the box. It is hand and peg joined.

Measures: 30" high X 20" deep X 50" wide

In very good condition with a lovely deep nut brown colour and patination to the oak oozing the charm and character of the period.
