Handsome Old Sheffield Plate, Geo.III cake/bread basket; of rectangular form on a pedestal foot with a plain body, and ribbon and shell decoration to the swing handle and the border. The basket bears a crest, and has signs of an ancient repair to the underside of the handle, which is not noticeable unless looked for. Makers marks to both the body and handle. Top quality by good makers.
