An Extremely Rare York Silver Basting/stuffing Spoon

An extremely rare silver stuffing or basting spoon from the end of the Georgian Regency period and assayed at the desirable York Office. This wonderful and sought after example is of good gauge silver and is in Old English pattern. It has handsome engraved script initials 'RA' and is top marked (hallmarks at the top reverse of the handle). The spoon is of good proportions and gauge and York silver, made in such modest quantities is always sought after. A wonderful collector's piece, still usable today. Dimensions below.
