We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

FAQs

The Georgian period, spanning the reigns of the Georges from 1714 to 1830, is characterised by classical proportions, elegant craftsmanship, and a transition from heavy ornamentation to refined, understated lines.

Authentic pieces are crafted from sterling silver, typically bearing a combination of standard marks including a makers mark, a lion passant for sterling standard, a leopards head for London assay, and a date letter.

Authenticity is verified through crisp, genuine hallmarks, correct gauge and weight of the silver, period-appropriate manufacturing techniques such as hand-raising, and natural age-related tarnishing and surface wear.

Miniature antique silver items are best displayed inside a glass-topped table vitrine, a dedicated collectors cabinet, or mounted within a shadow box to protect the pieces while adding historical detail to a study or drawing room.

Preservation requires minimal cleaning with a non-abrasive, high-quality silver cloth to maintain the patina, avoiding harsh chemical dips, and storing the items in a low-humidity environment away from direct sunlight.
