Silver Tea Strainer

1920 - 1940
Description

A good example of a sterling silver tea strainer with a pierced bowl. It has two small hooks for putting over the side of the cup and a nicely shaped handle with pierced decorative end.

It is a good quality piece and is clearly hallmarked for Sheffield, 1946 and the maker D.N.H & S. It weighs approximately 43g.

It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well . There are some faint surface marks and small dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

Approximate Measurements:

Length : 5 1/2" / 14cm

Width of Bowl : 2 1/4" / 6cm
