A rare English antique solid sterling silver letter opener. It is hallmarked for London 1813 with the maker being Thomas Wallis (II) & Jonathan Hayne. It has been superbly designed having a 1711 one crown Anna Dei Gratia coin inset to its terminal. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 9 inches (22.8cm) long by 1.25 inches (3cm) wide and weighs 64 grams. A nicely designed rare example.
