Coffer Charles II Oak C1680

Description

Here we have a fantastic Charles II Oak Coffer. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. The chest is of joined construction as it should be. The pegs are raised from the surface and the inside is dry and crusty just what you would expect. The lid where lifted has good patination. The chest is great condition having retained its original loop and slit pin hinges, stile feet and original geometric moulding typical of the period only a very small piece of thumb moulding missing. All joints are tight and the chest is solid. This is a very good example of its type and an excellent size. A beautiful coffer in lovely original condition ready for your home. Dimensions are approx 47 inches wide 22 deep and 28 high.
