The Cymric range was introduced by Liberty & Co. around 1899, drawing heavily on Celtic revival motifs and the principles of the Arts and Crafts movement to champion hand-crafted metalwork over industrial mass production.

Pieces in this range were typically fashioned from solid sterling silver using traditional hand-hammering techniques, often accented with applied enamel cabochons or semi-precious stones such as turquoise or malachite.

Authentic items typically bear the specific makers mark for Liberty & Co., alongside traditional British hallmarks indicating the assay office, silver standard, and date letter for the Edwardian period.

These metalware pieces can be displayed prominently on a sideboard, mantelpiece, or open shelving to introduce tactile metallic texture and historic character into contemporary or traditional spaces.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly using a non-abrasive, high-quality silver polish and a soft microfibre cloth, taking care to avoid harsh scrubbing around any inset stones or delicate enamel work.
