Description

A superb antique camphor wood trunk dating from the late 19th Century. It has brass corner pieces, brass strapping and large brass carrying handles and was most likely a military piece. It is very well made from solid camphor and has a lovely rich colour and patina.

It is in very good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. All the brass pieces are present, there are no splits and it is clean and tidy inside. There are some signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks here and there and a couple of dents on the brass corners but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and it displays beautifully.
