Boxed Set of Antique Solid Silver Darts

Description

This a rarity. A boxed set of 3 darts with solid sterling silver barrels.

The barrels each carry the hallmarks for Birmingham 1938, with the maker's mark of Adie Brothers Ltd. The silver barrels are scratched, presumably from being hit by other darts on the board. The steel points and plastic (bakelite?) shafts are well attached. I am advised that the flights are macaw feathers. The shafts carry an MFM pat. 664850 and a stamp certifying that the adaptors are 'unicorn'. As can be seen from the photographs, the box clasp has broken and the box is worn on each corner.
