A superbly stylish 19th Century English stool of purposeful design, traditionally referred to as the ‘Gout Stool’ whilst a very useful and effective stool for taking pressure off the legs, the most relaxing resting position than a leg out straight, a super example.
A fine antique stool, circa mid to late 19th century, original dry mahogany frame on castors, structurally excellent without repairs or loss, each porcelain and brass castor operates perfectly with an early to mid 20th century, tapestry style upholstery in mostly very good condition, the original horse hair beneath.
