Stick pins and cravat pins gained immense popularity during the Victorian era, worn primarily by men to secure cravats and neckties, and later by women to fasten hats, collars, and lapels.

Victorian stick pins were typically crafted from high-karat gold, silver, or base metals, frequently embellished with gemstones, seed pearls, coral, enamel, or micro-mosaics.

Authentic pieces often feature period-specific hallmarks or maker marks, hand-carved details, traditional pin stems lacking modern safety catches, and occasionally are housed in their original fitted presentation cases.

Antique stick pins can be repurposed as lapel accessories on tailored jackets, used to secure scarves, or displayed upright in designated vintage display cases as cabinet curiosities.

Natural and cultured pearls are acid-sensitive organic gems that require gentle cleaning with a soft, damp cloth, avoiding immersion in liquid or exposure to harsh chemicals, perfumes, and cosmetics.
