French Louis Xvi Style Window Seat in Powder Blue and Gilt

19th century
Description

Very elegant and well proportioned late 19th century French Louis xvi style window seat or piano duet stool, circa 1880 to 1900.

Great as a window seat, piano stool, hall bench, end of bed stool, or just to use for extra seating in a living room when required.

The powder blue paint with gilt highlights are a great combination, with the seat being in a vintage water marked powder blue silk to compliment.

Please note, there is a very small (2mm) dark spot on the vintage silk which may or may not concern you…or you may choose to re upholster anyway, so do get in touch and I can assist with this if you like.

Very decorative piece and certainly useable too, happy to seat two adults when required.
