For sale this Chinese very finely painted blue and white plate decorated with a songbird and insects to the centre. Dating circa 1765. The painting in just various shades of under glaze blue on this example is of the highest standard. I have not seen one painted to these exacting standards in many years. The plate has two rim chips, one with related hairline, as shown in the pics. The plate is 23cm diameter and 2.8cm deep. Although with slight damage it should not detract from the sheer quality this piece exhibits. Price £225.00 inclusive of shipping to with the UK. (Reserved PS)
