A Superb Early Victorian Silver Chamberstick

A superb example of early Victorian domestic ware. This delightful piece is a small chamber stick , sometimes called a go-to-bed and is designed in the naturalistic taste. It has a deep fluted base with a petal rim and fixed sconce to hold a small candle. The handle and support have lily pad leaves and the original snuffer is still present. An interesting and unusual item, with a practical use. Dimensions below.
