Unusual Antique Silver Table Lighter

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very quirky item. A solid sterling silver novelty table or club lighter fashioned as a pump.

It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1926 with the maker's mark of Henry Wigfull. The lid also has partial conforming hallmarks.

The body of the lighter is inscribed 'The Tin Plate Workers Company (1670) 5 May 1927'. The silver is in excellent condition.

Weight: 54g

Height: 8cm

Diameter of base: 5.5cm.
