Antique Silver Photo Frame with Pretty Bow Detail Hallmarked Birmingham 1914

1900 - 1920
Description

A very pretty antique solid silver photo frame with a decorative bow detail to the top and a plain polished silver border. The frame is glazed and has a buff coloured shot silk backing. The back is wood and the stand works well.

A delightful antique frame in a popular size, and perfect as a wedding gift.

 

Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1914, Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the maker's mark: S & Co for silversmiths Sanders & Mackenzie

Condition: In super antique condition.

 

Measurements: Frame height: 20 cm (not including bow detail) Width: 14 cm Window size 18cm x 12 cm (just over 4 1/2 x 7 inches)

Weight: 286 grams
