Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco design, prominent from the 1920s to the 1930s, is characterised by geometric precision, clean lines, and a synthesis of modern industrial materials with luxury finishes such as enamel and sterling silver.

Guilloche enamel involves engraving a precise, repetitive geometric pattern onto a metal basetypically sterling silverusing a mechanical lathe, followed by the application of translucent coloured enamel layers.

Authenticity is verified through clear hallmarks indicating the assay office, silver standard, and makers mark, alongside inspecting the enamel for hand-finished precision, uniform depth, and natural age-related oxidisation on the silver components.

This piece can be displayed on a mirrored tray atop a dressing table, a bedroom chest of drawers, or within a glass-fronted cabinet to introduce metallic accents and period craftsmanship into a room.

Preserve the piece by avoiding abrasive silver polishes on enamelled surfaces, keeping it away from direct sunlight to prevent colour fading, and cleaning the glass gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
