Striking Vintage Silver Red & Black Enamel Butterfly Brooch by David Andersen

1940 - 1960
Description

A particularly striking silver and enamel butterfly brooch in a rich red enamel made by the renowned Norwegian jewellery designer David Andersen. The colour combination of red wings with black body make this butterfly an eyecatching specimen and it is in beautiful condition with a real shine to the enamel. The body, wing edges, antennae and back of the brooch are all in the warm silver gilt finish.

There is a good fastening pin and the clear marks for David Andersen, Norway Sterling.

 

Lovely for a collector of David Andersen or mid century Scandinavian enamel jewellery

 

Measurements: 4.4 cm x 2.6 cm Weight: 7.4 grams. Weights and measurements are approximate
