Georgian Silver Filigree Vinaigrette By Samuel Pemberton Birmingham 1804

Technical Description
 
A Georgian silver vinaigrette with a beautifully gilded filigree grille. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1804 and with the makers mark ‘SP’ for Samuel Pemberton. The top is engraved ‘LW’ in fine monogram script. It has a narrow curved form with a bar in relief on either side of the opening.

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. The hinges are in full working order.

Samuel Pemberton was a jeweller and toymaker with a silversmith’s workshop located on Snow Hill in Birmingham, England, from the mid-1770s until at least the 1820s. Snow Hill was the centre of Birmingham''s jewellery and toy-making district.
