Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Edwardian furniture, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, often combined influences from earlier periods like Sheraton, Chippendale, and Hepplewhite, favouring lighter proportions, graceful lines, and refined inlaid or carved details.

These pieces were predominantly crafted from solid mahogany, satinwood, or walnut, often featuring crown glass panes, brass hardware, and delicate fretwork or marquetry inlay.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit period-appropriate construction methods such as hand-cut dovetailing on drawers, old plate glass with minor imperfections, and genuine age-related patination on the timber.

Pairing dark wood antiques with neutral wall colours, contemporary lighting, and curated stacks of books or ceramics creates a balanced, layered aesthetic that bridges traditional and modern design.

Maintain timber condition by keeping it out of direct sunlight, avoiding extreme humidity fluctuations, and periodically applying microcrystalline wax to nourish the grain without buildup.
