Stunning Edwardian 18ct gold sapphire diamond crossover ring. This lovely ring a pretty royal blue coloured sapphire 4.5mm diameter bezel set besides two very bright old cut diamonds. The diamonds are also bezel set and each have a weight of around 0.15ct to 0.20ct. The total diamond weight is 0.30ct minimum. The measurement of the stone face is 13mm x 5mm. The stones are wrapped in a beautiful crossover fashion in smooth rich yellow 18ct gold. The band is hallmarked with the makers mark A & W and stamped for 18ct. There is an old inscription in the gold which says ''M.L from R.Y 1917''. This ring was most certainly made in the Edwardian era. This ring is of lovely quality with a good weight to it, a strong band. The ring is in absolutely excellent condition for its age with only minor wear to gold in accordance with age and a tiny nibble to one facet of the central sapphire which cannot be seen by the naked eye. Would make a wonderful antique engagement ring. Size UK N and U.S Size 6 3/4 the total weight is 3.5g.
