A beautifully rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver gilt fruit bowl. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1898 with the maker being James Dixon & Sons Ltd. It has superbly designed being pierced and decorated with scrolls and flowers. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits engravings and repairs, the gilding (gold on silver) is complete. It measures approx. 10.25 inches (26cm) across by 2.5 inches (6.4cm) tall and weighs 294 grams. A very good quality well made rare piece.
