There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches throughout the piece. To the top, there is some splitting (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm to the back legs (pictured), however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, the antique 18th century oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound.
