Georgian Style Mahogany Bookcase

£1,765    $2,261    €2,129
Georgian style mahogany bookcase

This Georgian style mahogany bookcase was made circa 1920.

It is made with the influence of Chippendale with the blind fret to the cornice and book slides, together with the fine carving to the corners of the waist.

The bookcase comes in 2 parts, the glazed double doors to the top and a further cupboard base with panel doors, that open to reveal a shelf. As this is in 2 parts it allows easy transportation to and around your home

The panel doors with the applied fine moulding and carvings to the corners.

Above the panel doors there are slides that pull out to allow you to lay your books while you are selecting. These slides also have the bind fret.

The feet are the classic bracket feet but with the lovely feature of the fretwork, this lightens the bulk of the feet.

This Georgian style mahogany bookcase gives you wonderful storage options for your library of books, the shelves in the top glazed section being 32cms (12 1/2ins) thus allowing you to store large books.

Not only is this mahogany bookcase very eye-catching it also will be irreplaceable for its storage.

Dimensions

207cms high 81 1/2ins
