Description

A large Victorian locket engraved on one side with a pretty scrolling foliate pattern and on the other with a large monogram. The ornately patterned side has a lovely spiral design with multiple ivy leaves; to the Victorians, well versed in the language of plants and flowers, ivy was a symbol of longlasting love, whether of a deep friendship or a romance.

The piece is unmarked but tests as sterling silver.

Size: Approximately 3.2 x 4cm not including the bail, 5.5cm total drop.

Weight: 12.6g.

The locket is in very good antique condition with hinges and clasp in good working order. Inside contains two frames and a paper; you could easily insert your own pictures.
