Art Deco jewellery is characterised by geometric symmetry, stylised motifs, and a strong emphasis on clean lines, often featuring platinum paired with high-contrast gemstones like diamonds and sapphires.

These rings typically utilized platinum or white gold settings, featuring bezel or milgrain edges, hand-pierced gallery work, and hand-cut diamonds encircling a central coloured gemstone.

Authentic pieces often show microscopic signs of hand fabrication, period-appropriate gemstone cuts such as old European or single cuts, and sometimes makers marks or purity stamps consistent with 1920s manufacturing.

An antique cocktail ring serves as a striking standalone statement piece, pairing well with minimalist contemporary evening wear or layered thoughtfully with sleek modern metal bands.

Preserve the integrity of the piece by having the prongs and settings professionally inspected annually, avoiding ultrasonic cleaning for treated gemstones, and storing the ring separately in a lined jewellery box.
