Art Deco metalware from the 1930s is characterised by geometric symmetry, streamlined forms, and the influence of machine-age design.

Luxury barware of this period was predominantly crafted from silver-plated brass or nickel-silver, utilising techniques such as hand-spinning, plating, and precision geometric stamping.

Authentic pieces typically bear maker hallmarks, specific silversmith stamps, and quality marks denoting silver-plating thickness or alloy composition.

It can be styled as a functional bar accessory on a drinks trolley, or utilized purely as a decorative metallic accent piece on a sideboard.

Silver-plated items should be washed gently in warm soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge, dried immediately with a soft cloth, and polished periodically with a specialist silver polish.
