Stunning Spanish Solid Silver Gilt Enamel Filigree Cheroot Card Case C1940

Description

A stunning Spanish solid silver gilt and enamel filigree cheroot or card case. It is hallmarked with Spanish hallmarks with the assay office being Salamanca. I would date it to c1940. It has been beautifully hand made being decorated with scrolls and enamelled flowers. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The enamel is perfect. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.6cm) tall by 2.75 inches (6.7cm) wide and weighs 60 grams. A beautiful rare piece.
