Description

A gorgeous antique ruby ring. The natural ruby in the centre - certificated as natural and unheated - displays a vibrant pinkish, purplish red. The stone is rubover set in yellow gold and surround by 10 old mine cut diamond in a coronet settings, leading to a slim and tapering 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the ruby shows no evidence of heating.

Cut: The ruby is slightly off round (oval). The diamonds are old mine cuts.

Colour: The diamonds range from H to I.

Clarity: The ruby is clean through a jeweller's loupe. The diamonds range from VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat: The ruby is approximately 0.70 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.50 carat.

Circa: 1920.

Size: P 1/2 (UK) or 7.75 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The ruby is approximately 5.75 x 5.5mm. The head of the ring is 10.2 x 10.1mm and sits 4.7mm from the finger.

Weight: 2.86 grams.
