A very interesting English WWI solid sterling silver cigarette case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1913 with the maker being William Neale & Son Ltd. It has been superbly made and has been engraved 'PRESENTED TO DRIVER LOUIS MOORE R.F.A. BY A FEW FRIENDS ON HIS RETURN TO HORSTEAD AFTER 13 MONTHS ACTIVE SERVICE IN FRANCE OCTOBER 1915'. A 'Driver' would have been in charge of the heavy horses pulling the artillery pieces.
