Double Silver Stamp Case Chester 1904 By Albert Ernest Jenkins

A fine Edwardian silver double silver stamp case. The case is rectangular in an envelope form with a flap lid which hinges nicely. The lid opens to reveal two separate compartments for stamps with catches to hold them in place. The case is crisply engraved with elaborate swags and leaves and there is also a blank scroll shaped cartouche to the front of the case. A ring to one side of the case allows it to be attached to a chain.
 
 
 
These stamp cases are now popularly used as pendants and this would make a lovely quirky item of jewellery.
 
Hallmarked by the Chester Assay Office 1904 with makers mark for Albert Ernest Jenkins.
 
A lovely collectors piece of sought after Chester silver in super antique condition.
