An elaborate antique silver plated claret jug. Standing on a circular pedestal base that is engraved with flowers and scrolls. The bulbous body is ornately embossed with flowers, grapes and fruit. Elaborately initialled within the cartouche. Slender neck, bead mounted to the top. An acanthus leave mounted handle with a lady’s face at the bottom. Fancy cone shaped finial. This retains its original inner gilding. This is sold in original plate with little wear. c1880 British made
