Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Khorasan Baluch rugs are hand-woven textiles created by nomadic and semi-nomadic Baluch tribes inhabiting the Khorasan region of northeastern Iran. Historically recognised for their dense knotting, rich dark palettes, and repeated geometric motifs, these rugs reflect traditional tribal heritage.

Traditional Baluch rugs feature hand-spun wool pile knotted onto wool or cotton warps and wefts using asymmetrical Persian knots. They frequently incorporate vegetable dyes producing deep shades of indigo blue, terracotta red, dark brown, and off-white accents.

Authentic antique Baluch rugs display natural colour variations known as abrash, soft flexible handles with wool warps, and geometric repeating designs such as Mina Khani or gul motifs. Examining the reverse reveals an irregular hand-knotted structure rather than machine uniformity.

A dark tribal Baluch rug adds grounding warmth and visual texture when placed beneath modern furniture or within traditional timber-panelled spaces. Its geometric framing makes it ideal for hallways, entryways, or layering over neutral natural-fibre carpets.

Vacuum regularly without using a rotating beater bar to avoid pulling the wool pile fibres. Blot liquid spills immediately with an absorbent clean cloth, and periodically rotate the rug to ensure even wear and light exposure.
