Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.

The sovereign case has a spring loaded hinged lid which opens with a push button at the top. It also has a loop for attachment to a chain.
Superbly crafted, this case is in lovely antique collector's condition. There are no dents or marks to the silver and opens easily and closes with a good snap.

Hallmarks: hallmarked inside the lid and on the sprung compartment as sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1911 with the makers mark of Aaron Luffkin Dennison. These marks are repeated on the button and loop, though the date letter here is for 1910.
