A small Charles I oak coffer, the two panelled top above a base with guilloche carved rails and centre stile enclosing null carved panels, the feet being a continuation of the channel carved stiles, a little carved decoration on the panelled ends. Good colour and patina with excellent carving, there is a replaced board in the floor(see photo) but otherwise a neat coffer that stands well. English Circa 1645.
