A Baluch rug with a very well drawn lattice design.Circa 1880.The rug has a ''calyx'' lattice design to the field, in alternating diagonal rows of indigo blue and madder red. The border is a well drawn example of the Baluch meandering vine design. The rug retains part of the original kilim end finishes at both ends, the lower end kilim has a old patch repair. The rug is of fine weave with very good soft wool.The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium / low pile, the side bindings and ends show a few signs of wear..
