Bushells Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Every piece has an elongated octagonal form with the stepped being iconic for the period.
The tray is an unusual and most welcome addition to the service: it has two ivory handles and looks fabulous.

All five pieces are fully hallmarked, with clear hallmarks. Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd. They are well know silversmiths and created some high quality Art Deco silver pieces. The entire set is Dated London 1939.
