Antique Balouch Carpet / Rug

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a characterful Baluch hand woven rug dating from around 1930. The rug is mixed technique having deep piled and flatter sections throughout. It has an quirky stylised double flower design and deep geometric borders. In typical Baluch colours of indigo, madder red and ivory, the rug is in excellent condition and looks well down on the floor. It could also make a lovely wall hanging.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
