Small Carved Oak Coffer C.1780

Description

Small late 18th.c. carved oak coffer c.1780. Three panel lid opening on the original hoop hinges to reveal storage inside plus a small compartment to the right hand side, the lid of which forms a stay for the lid of the chest. Lovely carved design to the front panels and the top rail, plus moulded and chip carved detail to the mullions, bottom rail and stiles. Oak panelled sides and rear, oak floor boards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
