It has its original metal strap hinges and the interior has a small candle box.
It is a lovely looking box and it is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and the interior is generally clean and tidy. There are some signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks but it still displays well. There has been some old woodworm in the base which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
