Here we have a very rare George III burr Elm blanket chest c1800. As you can see the chest has outstanding colour and patina. There is a two plank top with a moulded edge. There are single planks to the front rear and both ends. The front plank has the most stunning burr Elm grain as does the rear plank. Internally there are original hand forged strap hinges and a candle or herb box which is also burr Elm. The whole is sat on a well shaped plinth base. A super chest in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 109 cm wide 54 cm deep 50 cm high.
