French Ruffony Virgin Mary Virgo Virginum 18k Yellow Gold Medal Pendant

A French 18 karat (18K) yellow gold charm pendant designed as a round medal with a relief of the Virgin Mary in profile with a halo of the Latin motto ''VIRGO VIRGINUM'' (Virgin of Virgins). The Virgin holds a sheaf of lilies to represent purity. The reverse depicts a sheaf of roses over the engraved name Yvette and the date 24 Mai 1941. Stamped with the eagle''s head for 18 karat gold and French manufacture, along with an unknown maker''s mark. Signed Ruffony.
