Original Antique Victorian Military Camphor Wood Campaign Chest.
 
A rare Military Camphor wood campaign chest of moderate size.
 
We bring to you this rare excellent condition Victorian Campaign chest made from Camphor wood. This lovely chest features polished Brass edge banding, lock escutcheon and polished copper lifting handles to both ends complete with a small round Brass dropper handle for lifting up the lid. This chest is made from Camphor wood which is known for its beautiful and distinctive aroma which also deters moths, safeguarding garments inside. This chest also has its original working warded lock complete with its original key. We have sympathetically restored this item to enhance and preserve whilst giving it a lustrous natural shine and maintaining the original patina.
 
This chest would look fabulous in a loft style apartment or vintage themed home and would certainly be an interesting talking point for guests. This item could also be used as a small coffee table with storage.
 
Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but will obviously have the odd blemish and scuff here and there, however we feel that this adds to the charm of the item with it being antique .
