A fine late Victorian Sheraton Revival bonheur du jour in rosewood, the superstructural top with a crest finely inlaid in satinwood, over a central cupboard with a panelled door with boxwood stringing and a neoclassical vase with scrolling leaves above, fitted inside with a drawer and pigeon holes, and with a small drawer to each side with brackets above inlaid with scrolling motifs in satinwood, to a rectangular top with a broad crossbanded edge with boxwood stringing around a crimson leather with tooled border, over a frieze drawer with a fitted interior and further stringing and gilt brass handles, raised on slender square tapering supports with boxwood stringing on gilt brass and ceramic castors, and bearing on the back the label of Story and Triggs, London. English, circa 1890. Supplied with two keys, for the drawer and the cupboard. The height of the table is 69cm (27'')
