Description

A wonderful George III style solid silver inkstand, featuring a pierced gallery and pierced bottle holders, two ink bottles and a central taperstick holder with compartment for sealing wax, nibs etc. Raised on four elegant feet and with a securing pin to the underside. All fully hallmarked for Chester 1906 by Barker Brothers (Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker).

A superb example, a meaningful recreation of a Georgian example; in wonderful condition throughout. 9 inches wide. Silver weight excluding inkwells 520 grams.
