Edwardian Antique Silver Wading Bird Model, French C. 1910

Description

A very rare web footed small wading bird. This silver model is probably a Dunlin or Knot. They are very similar looking birds with a slightly down turned bill. It has reticulated wings and muddied hallmarks which I think are French from the beginning of the 20th century. The model is well cast and hand finished. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs.

WEIGHT; 280 grams or 9 ozst approx.
