Unusual Backbone Sterling Silver Four Slice Toast Rack 1947 Antique 68g Art Deco

Description

A superb English solid sterling silver four slice toast rack. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1947 with the makers marks being that of Adie Brothers Ltd. It has been superbly designed, rather like a backbone, and is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 4.75 inches (11.8cm) long by 2 inches (5cm) wide by 1.75 inches (4.8cm) tall. The division gaps measure 0.25 inch (1.2cm) wide and weighs 68 grams. A very good quality piece.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the 1940s.
