17th Century Iron Armada Chest

17th century
Description

Original antique armada chest 17th century with its key and the original complex 8 point locking mechanism still in working order, traces of original gold paint still visable to the front false lockplate and the silvering is still in good order on the internal lockplate which is cut and engraved with mythical sea creatures. The sides have the iron twisted carrying handles and the front has 2 rings and hasps for extra locks and security. All in nice condition for a piece of such age and rarity
